Secondary Essay Lengths

Hi all,

When writing secondaries that have word limits (let's say 400 words), how bad is it if I only write ~200? I don't want to appear lazy on the prompts but for some (if not most) prompts I just find it hard to write that much. I feel like I'm answering the question, I'm just really far away from the limit.

quality over quantity so long as it doesn't look obvious.

If its a 600 word essay, and someone is use to reading 1000x 600 word essays that are about average in content.

Unless its super well written, a above average response at 150 words will look akward
