I have a question concerning the essays for the secondary applications. Do the schools usually change the essay subjects from year to year or can we begin prewriting our secondaries based on last year's essay questions?

They don't change for the most part.

Sometimes they change a little, but pre writing them now and doing slight hanged when they are released is a good idea.

I would write them now though. Spend this time going over your primary to make sure it is perfect and ready to submit on day 1.
