Secondary Help!

Hello! This might be a dumb question but when writing secondaries can I say "as previously mentioned"? I'm answering a question about "why our school" and they have a research program that I'm interested in. I went in-depth on this topic for a previous question, so would it be acceptable to say something along the lines of, "As previously mentioned...."? I don't want to use up valuable characters explaining my interest again if it's not necessary.

I would not do that, but I'm not an ADCOM. I think it's valuable to enumerate more about why it would be a good fit/take a different angle.
