Just curious -- how do you people approach the "Why do you want to go to this school" question. I have never visited any of the dental schools I have applied to, so I'm not exactly sure why other than looking at their website. Honestly the two biggest reasons for me wanting to go to a school is cost and location... with cost being a huge factor. So how does one answer this?

Is being closer to family a valid point, or perhaps a liking to the climate in that area? I just know some schools set a max of about 500-900 wds for some of these questions so I'm assuming they want a lengthy explanation...

Any advice would be appreciated.

this past friday, i submitted my secondary to the UCLA. i literally wrote one paragraph for the particular question though.. yeah, i looked into their website and just elaborated their strengths and whatnot. btw, are we supposed to write an essay?? am i in trouble??? 😕
