Greetings everyone. This is my very first post and I hope all of you are nice to me. I am in huge dilemma and I need your advice.

Recently I had an interview at Ohio State. I was so certain that I would get in but to my disappointment, even flying all the way from Cali, I was rejected. Nevetheless, things are looking better as I have few interviews lined up.

On March 31, I have two interviews, Minessota and Turo. I have contacted both schools to see if I can reschedule my interview but was told that March 31 was the only one left. So now, I am really confused which school I want to interview at. How hard is getting into out of state schools? My GPA is 3.24. Does anyone know if Turo favours California residents. Do I have a better chance of getting in at Turo because it is a new school? Help people1

I don't know about Minnesota's interview but Touro's interview is a group interview. You interview with 5 other ppl at the same time. They will ask you very little about yourself- maybe three questions but you have to be brief. For Touro's interview- you really have to know what's going on with pharmacy issues. They ask you the most random questions that make sure you can think on the spot. So..my advice is depends on what you're good at. I myself, prefer one-on-one interview that way I can really sell myself.

But, I do prefer to stay in CA over Minnesota, especially b/c I want to practice here. Even though Touro is not accredited yet, I do see alot of potential since their D.O. school is really good. Also, with Touro- I don't know how many seats they have left. I interviewed with them late October and I know for sure that they started interviews late September.

Good luck with your decision.

When did you get your letter from UMN?

I was sent an e-mail a week ago.

I can't tell you which school I think you should interview at but I can tell you that Touro, as a private university, does not favor California students. Also, if you look at their average gpa from their first class (which is on their website), you have a good chance of getting in. Just make sure that you do well on the interview! You interview with 4 other people. I suggest that you sit in the middle so you have time to think about your answers while other people are answering... that's what happened when I interviewed. But, you have to at least look like you are listening, though. Touro has been interviewing people since September so I don't know how many seats are left. They told me at my interview in November that they will not interview if there are no seats left at all so there's hope! Good luck with your decision! 🙂
