Hi all,

I'm planning to apply this cycle and just took the MCAT yesterday (June 15). What I'm wondering is whether I should wait to get the score back (Juy 18) or whether I should just submit the AMCAS very shortly (in a few days). My application is almost done and can certainly be finished, but I'm worried that if the MCAT grade comes back worse than I was hoping, having already submitted the AMCAS will leave me in a tough spot. (My plan was to take it again in July if I did poorly). Is there a significant difference between applying ~June 20 and July 18 (basically a month) or not really? I never really had a clear idea of what "early" meant in terms of submitting the application.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

you can always put down just one school and submit your amcas (make sure it's quality though, don't rush it). this way, you don't lose any time waiting for it to be processed and verified. when your scores come out in july you can then immediately add the schools, without having to wait for what could be 4-6 weeks at that time for it to get verified by amcas. i don't think there's any real advantage to adding all the schools and submitting now, because unless you have a previous mcat score, they're gonna wait til july to look at your app anyway.

hopefully this makes sense, if it doesnt let me know. good luck!:luck:
