I have spoken to several admissions officer of the dental schools, and they all agreed that the stats of this year will get at least slightly lower compared to last year. They say last year was a rather exceptional case and that it won't be that high this year. This year will be similar to two years ago.

It's interesting that they feel that they are able to predict this so early in the cycle, but it's not impossible to do so-these people do this every year and probably do become very aware of trends.
