Out of my curiousity! I want to know what do people know about this in general.

Which D.O. school has possibly the highest selectivity for students? or lowest acceptance rate? or hardest to get in?

What MD school has the highest selectivity for students?

Not necessarily. They have the highest numbers, but are the numbers all they look at? That is, could you forego everything in undergrad to blow your grades and mcat out of the water, and get accepted to wash u? That seems to be the consensus.

Along those same lines, there are students who could get into Wash U who would stand little chance of getting in at some other places who may have more of an emphasis on other things.

Take Stanford for example. They value research. If you've got your name on a bunch of papers, you've got a shot there, with decent numbers. On the other hand, with spectacular numbers, but no research, you probably shouldn't waste your time applying.

The point is that every school looks for something a little different.

Thats a good call TT..

From what I have gathered Oklahoma State and TCOM are very hard to get into..especially if you are applying out of state. They have smaller classes, very high standards, and only a certain # of slots for out of state residents. Western seems to have a higher average of grades/MCAT than some schools too..but like TT said its all relative 😳
