Is the self assessment package worth it from AAMC? from what i understand all the questions are discrete and i'm wondering if its worth my cash. Any opinions?

ya they are a great resource for additional problems.
And no they are not only discrete problems, there are a bunch of passages also.

Each assessment has about 100-150 questions, its not a test so its meant just to make sure you know content and expose you to additional problems.

If you need more practice with aamc style problems then I think you should get them

Yeah it's worth it. The questions are from retired practice tests so they're pretty much the best resource out there aside from the actual practice exams, and they're the same format as exam sections, so passages + discretes. Really, if you haven't done every aamc problem before the exam (there aren't that many), you've made a mistake.

They're worth it for figuring out what you need to focus on the most. From what I found they did pretty good job at telling me what I needed to hammer down and what I could safely put on the backburner. I would (or rather did) buy all of them and would only do them after you've finished with content review. You're wasting a great resource by doing them any earlier than that.

Everything from AAMC is worth it. Helpful for early to midway through your study plan to guide study strategy.

I am taking them all this weekend. Bio certainly told me I need to re-study my micro and molecular bio subjects. I got killed on DNA/RNA, cells etc. I killed it on Physio.

Based on my own experience and others in April 4th thread, SA's scores correlate very nice to FL's. I think around 80% in SA's is equivalent to 30-35 in FL's. Unless you are nailing certain sections in FL already, I would suggest buying the whole set and trying them out.

I have been wondering this too.

And I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to buy and take everything the AAMC puts out, as obviously this is the stuff that should be closest to the test.
