I've heard conflicting responses to this question. Some say that schools will allow this and its a good idea because its a way to apply early while I've heard others say that schools won't accept your appliction without your DAT scores. What's the real story?

Thanks!

Send your application in as soon as possible. How could it hurt?

Schools won't consider your application complete until they have your DAT scores and won't likely invite you for an interview (yet). They might, however, put your application into the "we want you" pile and offer you an interview if your DAT scores check out fine.

So send that application in now!

Your DAT scores are processed much faster than your AADSAS application. Send your application in now, take the DAT a month from now and they'll both be ready about the same time.

That's what I did. My DAT scores were sent out really quickly - 4 business days after I took the test. The AADSAS application took a lot longer to be available to schools.

Send it out as early as possible. Most schools have a "pending" file they will place your info in when as they receive it. Like shane said, it won't be considered complete without your dat scores but at least they will have it. AADSAS isn't the fastest anyhow so just get everything sent to the schools as fast as you can.

Submit the app early. I took the DAT late and actually got an interview letter two days before I took the DAT.
