Send LOR to AACOMAS fron interfolio, detail instruction

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
AACOMAS doesn't allow you to assign letters to particular schools??

No. But interfolio does. AACOMAS will send all the letters that you put in the evaluations section to EVERY school you apply for. Most people give AACOMAS 3 or so letters (a DO letter, and two sci faculty) then any extra letters can be sent from interfolio directly to any particular school, depending on what they require.

Just keep in mind that everytime interfolio sends a LOR to AACOMAS, or a specific school, you're gonna have to pay.

Do you guys remember if we had to assign AACOMAS Student ID's to each letter that we sent? I'm almost positive you had to assign your AACOMAS ID number to the letter, but I"m not sure.

I'm asking because some schools want the Student ID on there as well.

i clearly remember adding the ID when you are selecting where to send the letter to. the schools you're referring to want the the letter writer to write the number on their letter???? 🙁
this does not bode well for me then. I didn't ask my writers to include the number b/c i'm applying MD and DO

I really dont think it matters honestly. I think its just a tool to identify your letter. If its checked on a medical school portal as "received" then it doesnt matter.

From what I understand MD schools have no such requirement.

Does anyone have any additional information on this? I know that none of my writers indicated my AACOMAS id on the letter. It was hard enough to get some of them to write it in the first place...
