i read somewhere that USC requires transcripts to be mailed directly to them? is this just for international transcripts?
I already have my transcripts sent to PharmCAS. is this enough?

No, you need to send it to USC as well. Taken from their FAQ page:
Do I need to send in my transcripts to USC?
Yes, you need to send in an official copy of all your transcripts to both PharmCAS and USC School of Pharmacy as soon as you start your application. Your application cannot be evaluated without your transcripts. Please send your transcripts (no cover page required) to the School of Pharmacy Admissions Office. Do not send transcripts to the USC Graduate School. The School of Pharmacy will forward a copy of your transcripts to the Graduate School.

Here is the address:
Please send all correspondence, including transcripts to the following address:
Office of Admission and Student Affairs
School of Pharmacy
University of Southern California
1985 Zonal Avenue, PSC 206A
Los Angeles, CA 90089-9121

Hope that helps.

Do these transcripts need to be sent by the Nov 2 deadline?

yes. postmarked.

btw USC hurt my feeelings through email.
I emailed them if they received all my transcripts and instead of a yes or no, they responded by saying yes they did when they were looking for another "D" on my transcript.

My interpretation is that response was "in-your-face your grades suck why are you even inquiring about your application/stats, you're not good enough for our school.

they didn't even leave a name/signature.

does anyone know what type of people answer the [email protected] email?

Hmmm, I don't know if they were thinking that. I received a grade worse than a D (I guess that leaves you with no choice to guess what I got) in a prereq class and I have an interview with them...

You never know

I'm assuming you didn't waste the money to apply to a school that you knew wouldn't accept you.

As for who responds, I couldn't say. Jim Granderson has access to that account, but I'm not sure who else does. What I would suggest is forwarding the email to Jim Granderson (granders(at)pharmacy.usc.edu) to see what exactly it was they were trying to convey. Without any other background information, it does seem pretty rude, but I know they try to give a good impression of USC and that certainly wouldn't be the way to do it.

well I know I am qualified for USC based on GPA etc but the fact that I was given that answer made me feel a little down when I was exited to get my application in and I had high hopes for this school. I couldn't figure out why it was necessary to throw that little info in there when they replied.

😕🙁

well that was the listed email on PharmCAS and becuase its on pharmCAS i'm sure everyone uses that email for their inquiries so most likely more than one person answers emails.

Also I'm too scared to contact a person directly regarding this. I'm thinking of just letting it slide and hope for the best.

actually sorry that email wasn't the one on pharmcas. All I know is that was the email I got a response from. I have used several emails when contacting usc and depending what the inquiry is they probably fwd it to the correct people handling it.

anyone know if the school of pharmacy would see a copy of the transcripts if sent to the graduate admissions office?

it's misleading how the transcript request cover page that we need to use, lists the graduate admissions office as the "mail transcripts to" address but they want us to send it to the school of pharmacy.

anyone else catch that discrepancy?

i'm sure you can guess i had it sent to the wrong office.
