Is it too late to send a letter of intent to the school? Do schools share about these type of things? (btw I'm only sending a letter to a single school.)

Way too early i think. Letter of intent is for when you haven't heard anything for a long while after an interview/waitlist. Maybe if you put in a secondary but never heard anything and its late in the cycle.

I think he is talking about the 2014 to 2015 cycle. If so, its not way too early lol. many medical schools start classes next month!
