i just sent my letters of reccomendation to Northwestern. On their website they ask for 3 and say that people are not advised to send more than 3. Accidentally, I sent all of my letters which is 4. Am in in trouble or just being a little to uptight (this whole application process is getting to me).

Also on a side note, why do some schools require a photo with secondaries. I thought that was only an interview thing?

Thanks in advance.

LOL. uptight 🙂 I sent 5 instead of 4 to vermont and got an interview.
The pics is for the interview. They just want it in advance in case you get one I guess.

They ask for photos for a number of reasons, one is to separate people with the same name come admissions committee time, the other is (supposedly) to make sure that your photo matches your MCAT photo to know you haven't sent someone in your place.

they ask for photos for the same reason they ask for your mcat score, and both hold equal weight.

YES! And all this time I was worried about admissions!
