Sending COPY of LOR OK?

Hi guys,

is it OK to send a color copy of an original LOR or do i have to send the original?

of course copies are ok. i doubt any school cares it is in color.

my school's career center has copies of all my letters and forwarded them to AMCAS and the few schools that don't participate.

the only issue may be if you send the copy yourself. it usually comes from a letter service or school career center along with a note from the school.

It's from my work. I'm sending it to AMCAS. But I also have to send a copy to albany cause they don't participate in amcas letter service.

Hmmm... I suppose that is okay, but hopefully others have opinions. I did get a work reference and asked the person send it to AMCAS and my school to send to non-AMCAS schools. But, I'm sure they recieve thousands of letters and don't track to see who sends it. Maybe just use your work's return adress to be on safe side?

As for your original inquiry, I can reasonably assure you copies are fine. All AMCAS does is send along a copy to schools and same with career centers.
