so i already sent my DAT scores to all the schools I applied to, but now I'm thinking about adding a couple more schools. Would I just have the DAT scores sent to these two schools now? Would this request be independent of the list of schools I requested it to be sent to last time? Pretty much, will requesting the scores sent to these 2 schools affect my original list b/c it wasn't all in one big list?

that was a confusing question, but i think this is your answer if understand wut ur saying:

you are going to have to file another seperate request with the ada to have your scores sent to these additional 2 schools. Its $25 per school.

i'm not sure how long it typically takes for your scores to arrive at the schools...i was kinda wondering this myself.

yea i guess it was kind of confusing. i just meant to ask if making this new request will affect anything just b/c it wasn't one original request with all the schools im applying to.

i wouldnt see why. they are 2 seperate transactions. The schools on the first request received your scores via that request and the schools on your second request will receive your scores via this second request. Are u just worrying about something that isnt really plausible? Sending a new request has no bearing on previous requests. As long as your paying, they will send the scores to the schools u indicate.

word. i just hear stories of things going wrong and want to make sure everything runs smoothly. thanks for response. to answer your previous question, i believe it is 10 days/2 weeks. definitely a lot faster than your aadsas will get there after submitting, and i hear you can fax them your unofficial scores if u plan on taking the test later than you feel comfortable with.

You can fax them but most schools don't consider the fax "official". I've spoken with several schools about this and some are ok with looking at the fax and considering an application based on the faxed report but will then confirm it with the official ADA version. Others will only consider an application complete when they receive the official scores so they won't look at an app until then.

A couple of my thoughts:

Sign in to your ADA account and just add two more schools. They will be added to your original number of schools, but only these two new requests will be sent. The ADA is typically very good about sending out official scores like this. I found that it took about two weeks for them to be sent. I added a few schools when I applied.

In the meantime you can fax in the printout you got when you finished the DAT to the new schools. They can 'use' these scores but will still need the official scores. Some schools will not even look at the faxed scores so official scores will be needed.

I remember faxing into Case and then called them and they politely told me 'Thanks', but they needed the official ones to get my application through to the next round. Another school said 'Great!' and they DID move my application through to the next round.

I would fax them in asap while waiting for the request.
