Sending in an update LOR

Hey I searched around the threads for an answer to this question but was unsuccessful so I'm hoping you guys can help me out!

I haven't heard from a bunch of schools yet (was complete by mid-August) and so I decided to get a LOR from my current employer (who's an MD, if that makes any difference).

How does one send this letter to schools? Do you upload to Interfolio like the rest and then send to AMCAS? Or to each school? Or have the writer email it/fax it/mail it?

Has anyone tried sending update LORs in yet? Sorry for my ignorance in advance!

As far as I understand it, all letters should be submitted to the schools via AMCAS. So if you are doing the Interfolio thing, then send to AMCAS through them. Or you can have the writer submit directly to AMCAS (but of course should you end up needing to reapply, letters sent directly to AMCAS won't be there next cycle).
