After being absent for more than half of my classes, I am not confident I did too well. I'm praying and hoping for straight B's. Some of the schools I interviewed at haven't met on my file yet. Am I forced to send them my updated transcripts before they meet, or can I just wait until they ask for them?

Taking 20 units and interviewing was one of the dumbest things I could have ever done. Oh-well, time to rejoice now that my finals are over.

I would probably wait until the ASK for them. No need to send them bad news or iffy news if it's not necessary. If you get great grades, on the other hand, consider sending them along!

i am in the same boat. bad idea to take biochem this semester. at least you have an acceptance so you don't have as much to worry about. i am trying to do my best on finals and hoping i can pull As and Bs in most of my classes.

yeah just wait chapinsita...most schools make their decision without knowing the final semester/quarter grades anyway....
and they just want to make sure if you completed your degree and just passed your classes at the very end.

so its all good. not to fret. All Bs is not that bad. I wish I could have pulled off all Bs for some of my semesters..🙂

Chapinsita!!

How was the interview?!? Was it GREAT?!? I hope so! My last final is tomorrow... I'm jealous!

alreadyindebt,

I thought my first interview was going horribly as my interview proceeded to ask me just about all the possible illegal questions within the first 5 minutes, but then at the end of the interview, she told me that it had been one of her best and she believed I would be a perfect fit for the school. Go figure. 🙄

And you're almost done with finals! Congrats!

I just finished the dreaded philos final!! YEAH!! I cannot believe the news about your interview!! To have that choice is amazing, assuming you're accepted, right? Congrats!!! I guess I am feeling the wrath of late application, huh? Hopefully my update and letter of interest will assist them in granting me interviews, you know? Good Luck with the decision... when do you expect it to come?? I hope soon, but you already have UCI in the bag. Sit back, put your feel up, and enjoy winter break!

When you interview some schools will ask you to write out the classes you are currently taking and any classes you have completed, including grades, since the time of your AMCAS application. If you are accepted you will have to send copies of your transcripts and degree verification. Other than that, if they don't ask, don't tell.

MANY students don't do as well in their last semester or two, especially if they know they have already been accepted somewhere. Unless you flunk one of your majors classes or a med school prerequisite, or fail to obtain your degree, they really don't care.

citygirl,

has it been your experience that ppl on hold at UCSF should ACTUALLY send in an update? I didnt know if they meant that or were just saying that cause they put me on hold...

(sorry for ransacking the thread like this, but i think it is kinda relevant, and i was already here! 🙂)

so, if i'm graduating this semester (just finals and i'm done...yaaay!!!), should I have my grades sent in to the schools I have been accepted to? They did ask for them, so I guess I should.
In addition, do I need to have these grades sent to schools where I have been waitlisted or my file is still under review?

I think that people like us, who are on hold for UCSF, should send in our grades (if they're good 🙂 ) Maybe our interview hinges on these grades. I will be sending updates to all of the UCs!!

Bumping because I don't know the answer to this question, either. If I've been "under review" somewhere for like 3+ months (Hi, Penn!) should I send along my grades? They're good this semester, so can't hurt, right?

should one send their grades if they had a 4.0 already and got straight A's again?
