I am a reapplicant and had a question about my personal statement and having updates in it. I just don't feel comfortable having sort of a list of things in my PS that I have done to improve myself as an applicant over the last year. Do you think schools would accept like a supplemental document/letter/statement sent to them separately where I state my updates? maybe when submitting secondaries?

Thanks

To me, it seems that the personal statement would make a good place to address the changes you've made in your application to improve your candidacy. Why wouldn't you list them in your PS?

I didn't mention it in my PS. I didn't apply to all the same medical schools... and I didn't want the new ones to be like... oh, she's a reapplicant. And for the ones I have applied to before, some secondaries ask you to tell what you have improved (boston off hand) and the other ones, well, they can look up my old applicant if they really want to know. My ECs should just speak for themselves regardless and they can see how many times I have taken the MCAT.

There's only so much space in a PS. It should be going to the characteristics you have that will make you a good physician and why medicine.

Two differing opinions. Nice.

I guess it all comes down to what I feel comfortable with.
