I just submitted my transcript request forms to my undergraduate institutions today. Is that too late? I know I should have done it as soon as AMCAS opened, but how much will this affect my chances? I am kinda freaking out right now... :scared:

Not a big deal.

Just be sure to have your AMCAS primary verified before the end of June. Typically, AMCAS sends out the first batch of verified applications to medical schools in late June, and you want your application to be among that first group.

overblown need. transmission thru july early august is fine

Transmitting a verified primary application to medical schools in late July/early August certainly won't jeopardize an application, but if someone wants to give him/herself every advantage possible, early submission is always better. And I would say that submitting your PRIMARY in early August is most definitely late, especially given the increased competition and number of applicants. I would strongly recommend submitting the primary by mid June. Also remember that the later the primary gets submitted, the longer it'll take for AMCAS to verify it, pushing your application back even more.
