yeah, this is kinda important, because i was under the impression that it was kinda difficult to get in out-of-state.

It is very difficult to get into TX schools from out of state. I think they can only accept up to 10% out of state.

the OP has got you guys hooked.

my guidebook says,
# of out-of-state applicants enrolled/total enrolled for 1999-2000:

Baylor: 38/167 (23%)
Texas A&M: 3/78 (4%)
Texas Tech: 2/123 (2%)
UTMB: 5/200 (3%)
UTHouston: 2/215 (1%)
UTSA: 9/200 (5%)
UTSouthwestern: 20/203 (10%)

whether the extremely low percentages are due to self-selection, i'm not sure, but i would assume that they can't go over 10% except for Baylor ..
