Seperating activities that occur during each semester

On the AMCAS, if I TA a class or participated in a club only during the school semesters, but I have done it for the past 6 semesters, is it necessary to designate a start and end time for each semester, or can I just use the start and end points of the first and last semestesr?

For ex, if I am a TA for bio for the past 3 semesters:

Do I write:
TA, Start Sept 2011 - Dec 2012

OR

TA, Sept 2011 - Dec 2011, Jan 2012 - May 2012, Sept 2012 - Dec 2012

Probably easiest to just give the total number of hours & then put in 'six semesters' or 'academic year' in the description itself. I used recurrence for activities with 999+ hours or those where I had major changes over time in my level of participation.

Just put the beginning and end points and then mention that it was over the school semesters in the description. I'm sure they can figure it.
