how many of you guys took org chem and physics in the same semester? How many seperated them? How did it turn out? Do you wish you would have done it differently?

Just curious. Thanks.

I just finished Ochem 1 and Physics 1 last quarter, and it wasn't so bad. 2 weeks into Ochem2 and Physics 2 now :scared:.

I did not take them at the same time. I finished physics I and II and bio I and gen chem I and II before I did orgo. I liked it better that way. Physics and orgo were easily my most time consuming courses during the semesters I took them, so I think it was a good decision.

i took them together both semesters
i had no problem.
got a B+ in orgo I, A in phy I
then A in orgo II, A- in phy II
don't worry you can do it

I haven't yet - but I will be doing so next year. The thought scares the hell out of me!

Just cut back on other classes and plan on spending time doing lots of problems.

I'm on the quarter system - so I'll have 1 quarter of ochem/physics/spanish3 1 quarter of ochem/physics/statistics and 1 quarter of ochem/physics/multi-variable calculus. If I cut back on my classes that would make me part time and would screw me over. *sigh*

Are we talking algebra based physics?

Did Organic 2 and Physics 1 at the same time- I found physics 1 to be review of HS so I just focused on Organic... ended up with an A (99.2) in physics and am waiting to know if I got an A or B in Organic...

just make sure you prioritize studying and its all fine

Orgo I and Physics I: A-/A-
Orgo II and Physics II: A/B+

I think my advantage was the amount of "free points" the teacher for physics gave us. We had extra credit and a curve. Also, it was calc-based but that turned out being calc-based forumlas we didn't derive.

I took analyt physics my freshmen year and got A's both semesters along with A's in gen chem I and II. I'm taking orgo I now and so far I have an A. I haven't been stressed about any of those courses, yet.

Unfortunately some of us were slackers and never took physics in high school 🙄

I took physics 1,2, & 3 alongside with ochem 1,2, & 3. It was not bad. Just stay on top of everything and you'll be fine.

I took Orgo II and Physics I and didn't have a problem (all "A"s)

Next semester it will be Molecular Biology and Physics II - exciting!

(of course, it's my last semester and those are my only two classes, so it won't be a big deal at all...)
