Is anybody starting to feel the effects? I know one of the hospitals in my region laid off 2 clinical specialists (i think one of them was part time), changed 2 afternoons pharmacists from 7 on 7 off to 8 on 6 off, laid off lead tech and secretary.
My hospital - 2 full time midnight pharmacists are leaving for personal reasons - I feel we are not gonna replace them, but will cover them by making one of the afternoons rphs stay late and one day shift rph come in early.

I know in SD (a certain chain) all graduates in 2013 do not get a a full time offer, float position with no guarantee hours just like in 2012. Three of new 2012 grads quit because of no hours available for them, they work 1-2 days a week and called it quit LOL.

I highly doubt this was the result of sequestration...the only pharmacists affected by sequestration at this time are federal pharmacists...

Yes, it was. 2% Medicare cut is part of sequestration. That hospital specifically said they were cutting their labor force due to that.

The article mentions cutting non-medical staff, but since then they moved forward and started laying off medical staff too.
