I know I asked this already but maybe I wasn't full clear. I think someone I know iis going to try to tell md admissions false things about me. Is this something that they will accept and file for the applicant, or am I just worrying too much?

It probably depends on what they say and to who. Will the admissions office accept it as fact and put and put a big red "X" on your application? Probably not. But if it is incriminating enough them I doubt they would ignore it. But honestly, how can we answer this?

Try talking to the person in a genuine and sincere fashion.

What? Who is this "someone?" If it's a student, almost certainly not. If it's a professor, maybe (though that would be highly unprofessional on the part of the professor unless you did something truly egregious). If it's a dean or other high level administrator, that'd be a cause for concern.

However, if I were an adcom member I would be HIGHLY suspicious about unsolicited information about an applicant.

yeah, it is just a student at my school trying to mess around...

There's zero chance a random student is going to have any input on what an adcom's decision is. Also, if you have proof that this person is doing this in bad faith, I wouldn't wait a second to report them to both your judicial affairs department and/or the dean of their college.

thanks for the advice. Appreciate your input on this and that makes me feel a lot better.

Why is he doing this? Did you steal his girlfriend?

nah just jealous about grades and classes we had together

Why do you worry? Unless whatever he'll say is true. I'm no adcom, but I wouldn't pay attention to a random student bashing another student... I think they base their decision on evidence(GPA, mcat, LOR etc) not on gossips from a student. Gods luck though...
