I have seen all sorts of inconsistancies on starting salaries for optometrists. Can someone with credible information clear this up? I know it depends on where you work but anything would be appreciated.

I think that the inconsistencies come from the fact that optometrists can make as little as 70 K or less, to 150 K or more. So the average salary for an optometrist will vary considerably depending on how and where the data is collected, etc.
