Those of you who have read my posts know Im behind in shadowing/clinical experience. Just have shadowed a urologist thus far.

So I went door to door today looking for physcians in specialities I am considering. Got rejected like 50 times, gave my number to about 10, and was given opportunities from 2.

I plan to shadow those 2 all day Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Problem: Ive gotten calls from 2 other docs giving me opportunities to shadow them. Different specialities too, so it'll be useful. I have no time this week now though.

Do I:

1) Call them back and set a time in the future to start shadowing. Like tell them starting May 1st Ill start coming in 2 days a week.

2) Call them back, tell them Ive recieved offers from docs who did not make me wait for a phone call, then begin to tell them their offices smelled funny and their specialities are boring anyway.

3) Not call. Find other docs in May. Theres plenty.

4) Try to squeeze them in sometime this week, even if it means taking away from the others.

Be professional.

Shadowing in the future is ok, as long as you actually do it.

shadowing in the future is fine- I would just call and see what the doctor is open too- don't just assume they are cool with 2x a week- be ok with them just giving you one day- if you are responsible and polite and don't slow them down they will often say they will let you come again.
