I know that there have been other threads on asking how to set up a schedule. My question though resides on more of personal things going on. I am planning on buying all of my books within the next few days. I takes a while for the books to arrive there. I might be able to being studying before the summer is up and then school starts up. My question for a schedule resides on what I should do with this. I have two semesters to study but of course a pretty challenging workload. I have seen threads setting up a 3 to 4 month period to study for the MCAT and I know that to do well you need free time to concentrate on it. The problem though is that i am thinking of taking a MCAT prep course. I don't know if this is necessary. If I take the course the first semester and then begin a several month period of reviewing before taking the test in July of the summer would that be too much? If I don't take the review course I still want to study for the mcat so would it be a waste to start this far in advance before the MCAT or should I just wait a semester and then begin reviewing for the MCAT?
By the way the Thread I am speaking of here is this one:

If you take a course then spend several months on top of that reviewing before you take our MCAT, you will be wasting $2k on the course. I don't know what your plans are for the semester, but in my experience the SN2ed schedule (with a little tweaking) is doable while working and going to school.

I extended the 3 month schedule into approximately 112 days (December 19 to April 5). During that period of time I was working 40 hours per week, volunteering 10 hours per week, and taking 7 or 8 credits (can't remember which). I basically studied all weekend every weekend, and took full advantage of christmas vacation, spring break, and a 2 week vacation from work leading up to my test date.

I think you should try and compress your MCAT prep into 3-4 months if at all possible. By April 5 I was starting to forget some of the things I learned in December.

I think you should study first by yourself then take a course, that's what I am doing...
I am studying by myself with PR, Berkeley, EK and Nova and than taking the PR course.
