An update with the case behind us.

Spoke with the surgeon again and had it moved to the main hospital.

The ulcers were concerning for infection, necessitating the urgency of the case.

Did a light MAC as the surgeon did a fair amount of a field block, such that we got by with small dose of fentanyl and low dose prop infusion. Had epi on the line but BP stayed up so never necessitated it. Gave a bolus of 4mcg as the plane was being achieved.

Thanks again for everyone's input. Lots of good food for thought.
