severe senioritis

Anyone else lost all will to work during their last semester as an undergrad? I just have not been able to get motivated this semester. I have the incredible luck to know that im going somewhere in the the fall and I know senioritis is normal-- but I am going to seriously fail classes if I dont get something done. I have had a term paper due all semester, and I havent even started on it. Ive just sat around wasting time, and watching TV all day today. There are a couple of classes that I attend only 2 or 3 times a month. I have been getting by -- I am not at the point grade-wise where I am unsavable, but if I dont get motivated soon, I will be.

I was there. I guess not that bad. But, i don't hold admission. I will be working two years after I graduate. So my GPA still matters. hell it matters TON, especially where it is at.

I was getting depressed c lasses weren't going well, which let to a ton of non pr o ductivity, w hich led to further depression, and such. and, yeah, a lot disney channel.

umm... try talking withpeople, hanging out, or does getting something done motivate you and make more get done. study in groups maybe?

Yes I totally hear you. Gosh I have an evolutionary biology = boring exam tomorrow and I need to get my butt up off this chair and go to the library to study. I haven't done ANYTHING for it yet. EEEKKKK....I just wanna freakin graduate.....please!!! I have 19 credits this semester....blah.

I have been having severe senioritis for the last two weeks. I go to class, but when I get home I do nothing. All I do is sleep, watch tv, go on the internet or go out and party!! All I think about is that graduation is almost in a month, and I can't wait. How about having a good gpa for the first 3 and half years of college, but ruining it your last semester and having to do a post bac to get into med school?

i'm only taking 3 classes this semester and still, i find that i can't do ANY of the work.

I found a solution to the whole senioritis thing. Just take a vacation. I have been on self-declared vacation for four weeks now, and I have not a worry in mind! Just remember, C's get the degrees! :wink:

I feel ya. I've had senioritis really bad - and the quarter just started last week. Be glad that you're on semesters and you have time to slack off! Just keep thinking that it will be over soon - very soon!

I think I need to see a doctor about this senioritis thing. I have a paper due in one hour and I haven't started. I set my alarm for 4am to wake up and do it and I kept resetting it until 10am. I just ordered chinese food to procrastinate. I feel like I have this block against doing schoolwork. It's just too distasteful to even start it. And the stupid essay question is in Spanish and I barely understand it. 😛 😡 I need some ritalin! 🙄 :wink:

I personally think we need to start a forum to help others with excuses for why our work is late or not turned in when the truth is we just don't give a damn. I've pretty much used every one of them in the book and could use a little help hehe

Hey this is a good place to post a question I've been wondering.....

I have (thankfullY) been accepted already and I am worryed I might get a C in one of my classes. Do you think there's any chance that the adcoms would recind my acceptance in this case provided I did well in my other classes? Just curious. Sorry if this is a silly question, I am guessing it would be fine but I always expect the worst.

It's so hard to get motivated, plus the fact it's started to get nice out. Here comes summer there goes school work!! Ah well.
