oh boy...it's finally our turn (class of 2008). hope to keep the trend going with a successful match, common to most SDNer's!

Wow, I just became 10 times more nervous about the match than I was before I read this post.

Good luck everyone!

👍👍

Good luck everyone

It's going to be another nerve wracking, but exciting, application year!

went through the process successfully last year so i know the torture! good luck this round 🙂

It sure goes by fast... I can't believe I'll be graduating next year.

Good luck to everyone in the upcoming cycle!

Hey is anyone else getting the error, "cannot handle content type: text/html" when they hit the submit button on their registration form? Any ideas how to solve this?

No, but I'm getting, "Cannot submit: All fields not complete" when I try to submit my registration form. What's the trick to getting it submitted? ---- got it figured out.

vtrain - did you save it to your desktop first before trying to send it?

banana, thanks for posting 🙂

i used the full version of adobe to fill out the registration form and submit and supposedly had no problems - i got an error message from my computer, but got the " you have successfully registered!" confirmation from SF match. So, who knows!

I suppose I will need to call the SF Match people to confirm they got the right information.

I'm also working on a mac. anyone else on a mac have these issues?

I had some trouble as I utilize Mozilla, but when I switched over to Internet Explorer I could easily enter data into the PDF file.

Yeah, I tried to save it to my desktop and then send it. It would be a shame if we needed the full version to send it, I doubt it though, as most people dont have the full version.

That's a good idea BananaMD. I'm gonna try that right now.

I just went through IE instead of firefox and it worked fine however I was unable to fill in the USMLE ID# and SSN#, so i just filled in the required info. I'll find out from SFmatch this week to see if its OK. So far it apparently is b/c it said ill be getting my reg # in a couple of days.

Hey guys -- it seems a few folks are submitting their applications right now, although the deadline is not until Septmeber 5th. Is there an advantage to submitting so early? (as in, the SF Match will not forward applications to programs until September 5th anyways, correct?).

What happens after one submits his/her application? Do we receive some sort of match number which allows us to go online and check status, programs we want to apply to, etc?

Thanks a lot!

Did anyone hear back besides the registration response and the order confirmation e-mails?

people are submitting their registration, thats not the 'application'

I got my confirmation with registration number. Apparently the application has a bit of a glich - if your SSN or USMLEID has a '0' in it, the system doesn't recognize it as a whole number. what you can do is just submit the essential information and then call up sfmatch to have the rest filled in. they are currently working on the problem.

my ssn has a 0 and it worked fine

dont go stealing my identity now..

The whole number error occurs if your SSN or USMLE ID begins with the number "0"

I just submitted my registration without entering the USMLE ID and received my registration code. I shall transmit my USMLE ID to them later via email or by phone.
