Have all you considering Caribbean med schools ever read The Doctor Factory? It's a "novel" written by a retired SGU biochem prof. His name is Richard Hansford. It takes place at a fictional Caribbean med school, but supposedly it's all true and all about St. George's. I have seen it on Amazon.com (as well has his other book called Rats in Science that also has SGU stories in it). Worth it?

While reading the book, please keep in mind that this professor was fired from SGU, possibly for some inappropriate conduct with female student(s). This is not to say that the book has no merit, but simply to point out that the author is not objective or balanced in his views.

Grenada is gross!!!!! Trust me...

I own the book, but I never got around to it. It's sitting on my shelf. Maybe I should read it some day?

Also, things in the book may be exaggerated for dramatic effect. A novel isn't a good way to evaluate a school.
