shadow a psych

so im thinking of shadowing a clin. psychologist or a psychiatrist; but, is this even possible?? imagine someone comes to see their psych, and sees another person in teh room, wouldn't that make them uneasy or perhaps uncomfortable...i don't want to interfere w/that person's session, but at the same time, i want to learn more about the field...hmmm..any thoughts😕

They do it all the time with med students with inpatients not sure about outpatients, at least the pyschiatrist I shadowed for a brief stint did.
