Shadowing a physician

I already submitted my application to amcas, i don't know why it's taking so long to verify but I wanted to know if there is a good way to find a physician to shadow for a while. I just graduated and aside from some hospital volunteer work (which i'm sure i'll be doing some shadowing in) I wanted to shadow a physician outside of the current volunteer program I am in. I was just wondering if you guys knew of any physicians in my area (los angeles/valley) that would take pre-med students. I tried searching for a list of a thread of shadowing opportunities nearby because i remember seeing it once, but i guess i was wrong.

You could try asking around at the UCLA Medical Center. Apparently it's easier to shadow physicians at teaching hospitals since the docs there actually enjoy teaching.
