Hey SDN! I've had the wonderful opportunity to live abroad this summer to perform a research project I designed. I've also had a little bit of down time, so I used that time to shadow in an extremely rural primary care clinic where I've been living. It was extremely small, and didn't actually have a primary care doctor. I shadowed a PA, a nurse, and a Pharmacy Assistant. I know I didn't actually shadow a doctor, but I would love to work in the same kind of clinic one day. Would these shadowing hours actually count on my application? If it doesn't it's no big deal--I still learned a great deal about this country's healthcare system and learned how care for rural patients in other countries can be administered. Overall it was a great learning experience, but if it also counts for shadowing hours on my application, that'd be great too!
Thanks.
Thanks.
