Shadowing experience

If I follow residents around, will I be able to see what lots of different doctors do? From my understanding, the person in charge of residents will have me following them around. I just want to make sure I'm not seeing one thing during the whole month because I have no other time to shadow except for next summer.

You'll probably see basically the same thing, since residents are MDs who aren't fully licensed to practice. Just bear in mind you might not get the full doctor-patient experience if you can only work with residents, as they'll be less experienced.
