Shadowing hours - journal question and others...

Did anyone keep a detailed journal of what exactly they observed? One of the dentists has a very organized system of computer notes. He explains his notations, etc. The other dentist is "old-school," and does his charts by hand, making it more difficult to write out what he's doing in technical terms, but I am getting the gist of what he's doing.

Can this be submitted with my AADSAS packet, or would this be better to bring to interviews? I am also typing these notes for a back up, and my handwriting is horrible.

I set an initial goal of 200 hours of shadowing, but one of the dentists said he would make me a DA1 and train me to assist with procedures, so I think I'll get well more than 200 hours by the time I apply. I actually helped today, which was interesting, but made me a bit nervous.

The journal cannot be submitted with your AADSAS app. The best you would be able to do for the app is mention it in your personal statement.

If you wanted to you could bring it with you to your interviews, however once again I think it may be best just to mention it and use experiences from it to help answer the questions asked.
