Shadowing Hours Requirement

Hey guys,

So I just bought the ADEA guide thing and now see that many schools require X amount of shadowing/job experience. However, on many of these schools' websites it does not list any shadowing requirements. Is the ADEA book accurate? Are these requirements set in stone, or are some schools flexible? Particularly looking into Detroit Mercy if anyone has experience with that. Thanks!

I'd venture to say that this is something schools would be flexible about, provided that your hours aren't terribly low and you have other dental experiences.

However, if the ONLY dental thing you have is 30 shadowing hours or something like that, then you might have some problems.
