How long should I shadow a PT? My PT shadowed for over 300 hours so should I shadow at this place im starting at next week for like 100 hours and then switch locations?

Take what you can get. Doubt they will give you 100 hours in the first place.

100 hours total is about the highest any school wants to see. Some unofficially want particular types of shadowing so I'd break it up as much as you can within that 100 hours. Maybe 20 hours in each type. I did 45 outpatient, 25 home health, 10 inpatient, and 20 at a hearing and balance facility in a rural location.

I got in with that

When I say "wants to see" I mean "required via ptcas." I don't know if having extra helps, but I'd doubt it matters much to have more.

you'll shadow for a place now, and 5 years from now when you apply for PT school you really think this place will remember you/be able to write you a letter?

This is usually true. The last time I checked, UCSF requires 150 minimum, and CSUN requires 200 minimum hours. I wouldn't say that 100 hours is the highest either, since 100 is usually the minimum. I agree with your other post that having extra hours probably will not help your application, but I've heard that having hours in as many settings as possible is important.
