How are pre-OT students dealing with shadowing hours? I was accepted at a school, but am short the required hours by 6 and my acceptance letter asks for me to sign a form saying I have them all. I have over 200 PT hours, but they don't count. I was supposed to do another site but these were canceled. Are there any virtual opportunities?

Have you maybe tried talking to them about it first? I know a lot of schools were very flexible as these are unprecedented time. Maybe offer doing volunteer in fall or something else? I think asking them and showing your willingness to work things out and seek alternatives speaks volumes of how much you value their program.

I mean you are only short six hours that's not really that far off.

Hello - that is a really good idea, and I will reach out if I cannot get the hours. I guess I'm just concerned because I was accepted off the waitlist at my first choice program and feel a bit pressured that they may skip me over if I can't get the hours.
