I was just wondering if any of you guys had any insight regarding shadowing on base.
I'm currently an HPSP student and I'd like to work in a few days out of the month shadowing at Little Rock AFB as it's only 15-20min away from med school.

Is this something I'd be capable of doing?
I know that 19h Medical Group is stationed there but beyond that determining who exactly I should contact isn't clear to me.

Any wisdom/suggestions are welcome.

Its possible but up to the med group if they'll allow it. Look up numbers on the base website and call. You just nees to sign HIPPA stuff with esucation and training to shadow.

Yep.

Its definitely possible. I shadowed flight surgery, IM, and Peds in the AF. Granted I was active duty at the time and was working as a medic (I knew many of the docs prior to shadowing) but it can be done.

You can also stop by the clinic and ask to speak with one of the physicians on duty that day.

Yup! I shadowed at WRNMMC in the ED for a week. All I had to do was find a doc willing to let me follow him around, and sign a HIPPA thing.

Just contact a doc, make sure it is okay with the department head and they should probably be okay with it.
