Shadowing Questions

I'm shadowing a family medicine DO tomorrow and I'm pretty excited about it. However, I've already learned so much about medicine from SDN and working in a hospital so I'm kind of hard-pressed for questions to ask tomorrow.

Can any of you share some questions that are good to ask while shadowing?

Why did you go with D.O ? What do you think makes you different from M.Ds ? Do you think D.O employment will be strong in the future? Any advice for the MCATs or medical school ? etc etc

I would just like to ask unique questions. Maybe I should lower my expectations a bit. I don't want to ask anything I already know the answer to. I suppose I can ask things about MSUCOM, which is where he went.

As about certain patients. I learned quite a bit about anatomical disorders that way

Ask about how he balances being a physician and his family. I am sure you can generate a conversation with it. Plus you learn more about him personally.
