Preferable to shadow 1 physician consistently over an extended amount of time (gap year) or shadow multiple physicians in different specialties for let's say ~25 hours? I have heard something about ADCOMs preferring consistency, but does that apply to shadowing?

Either one primary care physician or multiple specialties including primary care are OK. Consistency (as in, regular weekly) isn't important for shadowing, but about 50 hours is the average listed, and I'd suggest having at least 40 hours.
