Shadowing?

Hello all,

Is shadowing 100% necessary if I have 4000 hours of working in an ER? I watched Dr. Greys vids on YouTube and he says some schools filter out applications that don’t have shadowing as one of their ECs. Anyone have any thoughts/experiences on this?

You were a scribe for 3000+ hours. That counts; normally we would understand you claiming some of those hours (suggesting 50 is the norm) as shadowing, with the remaining hours as slightly more active experience. In short, you're good.

I was a scribe for 3000 hours and ER tech for 1000 hours (thus far, current position)
