People often mention that shelf exams correlate to performance on Step II, but I have never seen anyone post their scores. I thought it might be interesting and helpful for people to post their scores like they did for the UW correlations. One problem is that there are different forms of the shelfs, which may have different scoring scales. Also, the order in which you take the shelfs affects your score.

So if you could post your raw score and percentile for each shelf, your Step II score, and probably list them in the order you took them as well. If we get enough responses maybe a good correlation can be made. I'll go first:

Int. Medicine: 80, 78%ile
Psychiatry: 84, 85%ile
ObGyn: 75, 71%ile
Surgery: 77, 78%ile
Pediatrics: 89, 96%ile
Fam. Med: 83, 94%ile

Step II: 262

Neurology: 83, 94%ile(?)

i think these tests are probably the best predictors of your final score somehow...

i never found out my percentiles.
these are my shelf scores in the order i took them

int med 83
peds 78
ob-gyn 89
surgery 87
psych 94

haven't taken neuro yet

step 2 271

i only got scaled scores (i think):

ob/gyn 83
peds 83
im 83
fm 81
sur 79
psych 88

step II 258

does the shelf have to be administered through your school, or is there a way to get and take the tests individually?

ie. Ron Jeremy, aka "the Hedgehog". Man that guy is fugly.

True, very true...but the women get paid cash. more than makes up for the unsightly figure that is ron jeremy... that is, I think that's the guy who does pornos who was on some cable documentary not too long ago.

you can't get the shelf exams, score reports from the shelf exams or any data regarding your performance unless it comes from your school. The shelf exams ALL have to be returned (they are meticulously counted) in order for your school's scores to even be counted. I think they cost the school ~40 bucks...each.

who is this ron jeremy that everyone talks about?

And for those of you who haven't seen this, it actually was pretty good.
