SHELF EXAM THREADS

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Those threads were unbelievably useful. Just came looking for the psychiatry thread 🙁

Is "temporarily closed" meaning "we'll bring these threads back within a day or two" or is it meaning "haha, no, they're gone indefinitely"?

Can always ask classmates for what they used, but not really as useful

Edit: If the latter, someone please give me the skinny on accessing cached versions of web pages.

They are temporarily removed while staff works on removing the posts with NBME/COMLEX questions.

I understand that they're useful but they constitute a copyright violation/standardized test violation and SDN cannot host threads with actual test questions.

They will be reinstated soon.

I used case files, first aid for psych clerkship and uworld. If you do all of those and your rotation was ok, you will def pass. If you're shooting for H range, you might need something in addition to those 3 (like inpatient/emergency dept psych rotation if you're lucky or another study resource if your rotation was outpatient like mine was). Make sure you know your meds and side effects.

I see some of the threads back up but don't see surgery. Are they kind of being gradually brought back?

Yes. We have to go through them individually and delete the inappropriate posts. I'll admit I've been preoccupied with a pet in the ICU and have not gotten to it yet.

No worries, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing it. Obviously your pet takes priority, I hope everything turns out okay!

Surgery thread is now open.

Could someone tell me which subjects are being subjected with shelf exams and how many questions in each subjects?
Since shelf exams are not available for IMGs, I am trying to figure out which NBME service is closest:
Are the Clinical Mastery exams an alternative?

Shelf exams don't matter for credentialing and aren't reported to residencies, doesn't matter if you don't take them

I understand I just want to know if clinical mastery series are as good as the shelf exams for CK prep?
