Shelf life of letters of recommendation

I am a re-applicant this cycle, and I would like to know if the letters of recommendation (both professor and osteopathic physician) I have saved on Interfolio last cycle are still valid in the eyes of osteopathic schools through the whole cycle. They were all written this past January-February if that matters.

Every school has their own rules. But even the strictest schools I've personally seen allow letters up to 2 years old. Check each school's website for their policy.

I had a 2 year old letter and it wasn't a problem

But if you are a re-applicant what prevented your acceptance? MCAT, GPA, Letters of Recommendation, a combination? Hopefully you have something new to add to the application to enhance your file.

It would maybe look good to include a mixture of ones from last application, and a new one for good measure maybe having them reaffirm changes/efforts you've taken since last cycle.

I am a non-traditional student and had letters accepted from my undergrad that were >6 years old. There is no general rule here. It depends on the school you're applying to.
