Any tips on this section?
I recall uploading a CV but definitely no "bio." I'm guessing this is a new thing now that VSAS has become VSLOI don't remember there being a bio option on VSAS last year. Personally, I wouldn't fill that out if I didn't have too.
thisIt’s new, write a bio about yourself like the one you wrote for your school when you started, but updated to be current. You can make it specialty generic if you want (talk about your commitment to medicine, why you got in, what you like about it now) or tell why you’re interested in a particular specialty if you know for sure. I’d also mention something about yourself that’s non-medical and memorable, what you like to do for fun and so on. Ultimately it’s not rocket science and since no one knows what it’s supposed to be, there’s no way you can really mess it up as long as you don’t go totally crazy with it. Just wrote about 250-500 words about yourself, some medical some personal. Who could fault that? This is the best advice anyone will give you about this.
