Does anyone know of programs that might allow a visiting student to rotate for just 2 weeks? And if so, could you comment on your experience(s) at such programs?

I know someone who did a two week elective at UCLA (he had to call them and see what was available, since his other electives didn't pan out). He said it was a good elective, but did not get to meet any attendings long enough to feel comfortable asking for a letter or recommendation.

good point. but it may give the student an insight into the program. 2 weeks is def too short, but if there is nothing you can do about that, then you may or may not want to go forward with it.
