Shorthand Notation?

Can someone tell me some words that doctors use and write with shorthand notation? Thanks!

Actually, while you're at it, do you know where these shorthand notations came from??? The whole c with a bar on top of it, s with a bar on top of it, etc.

the words originated in latin...
c = cum -- with
s = sine -- without

don't know how we ended up using cbar or sbar...
i do know once you start doing it, you never stop. :)
 
I already answered you in the osteo forum. BTW, when you post multiple identical threads it gets confusing and a mod will usually close one of them.
